BACCARA SMART - KicKing SAWDUST
in the GALLERY MORGEN, Berlin steer.
As part of this exhibition, we ask,
Wednesday, 01 April 2009, from 19.00 clock,
a - HAPPENING --
in the presence of the artist Baccara SMART
in the Kunsthof,
Oranienburger Straße 27, 10117 Berlin.
20:30 clock presence of Zauberduos SONAMBUL - the art of mind reading
and the juggling artist BEATRICE
ADMISSION: € 10, - (including beverages)
SMART Baccara is a child of the circus ring, as the daughter of the famous circus director Billy is smart as they occurred in a circus artiste.
From this fascinating family history, she decided on a career as an artist and studied painting at the City & Guilds of London Art School, London. After graduating as a BA (Bachelor of Arts), she worked first as a curator in the White Cube, London (Damien Hirst exhibition, Romance In The Age Of Uncertainly) and was personal assistant to Tracey Emin, before they make their own works exhibited.
In the sphere of the "Young British Art" Smart Baccara has a very own style: burlesque, grotesque, new, fresh, different!
Her works revolve around the theme of the circus, as the exhibition title KicKing SAWDUST (an allusion to the sawdust in the ring) shows. First in Germany to see this show is an asset to Berlin and meets both the spirit of this city!
The Happening on 01 April takes the theme of circus show and provides the framework for a personal encounter with the London artist
Baccarat SMART. Magicians and jugglers will Kunsthof for a few hours into a circus arena transform.
At 20.30 occur novel Thurau and Vivian summer than Zauberduo SONAMBUL on. From the creative breeding ground of the Berlin show coming scene, this unique pair with charm and subtle humor his audience into the world of the Paranormal. (www.duo-sonambulo.de)
The juggling artist and master student of Kelvin Kalvus, known from the Super Talent 2008, BEATRICE, after dusk in mystical animal a combination of fire show and contact juggling with crystal balls perform.
